Live Oak High School serves students in grades 10 through 12, ages 16-18. The purpose of Live Oak is to provide students who are at least 30 semester credits behind with an alternative opportunity to improve their academic skills as they work toward graduating with their class. Students have a four period day; grades and credits are issued on a quarterly basis. Almost all school work is completed in small classes under the direction of the instructor. For a student to graduate from the Antioch Unified School District, he/she must meet the following subject area requirements:
In addition to the credit requirement stated above, students must also pass both the English Language Arts and the Mathematics portions of the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE) to receive their diploma.
While the goal of Live Oak is to assist students catch up on core classes, some electives are offered. Not all electives are offered every quarter.
Remember, not all electives are offered every quarter.
